I'm just going to apologize in advance for this one.
I'm sorry.
You see, its April fool's day today, and I wanted so badly to play a prank on you guys. But I'm not very good at that.
Instead, here are some food related April fool's pranks you can play on other people-
My husband and I made these this morning. We figured if we made them up early enough, someone might have enough time to make them for their own family for dinner tonight.
Vegans, Vegetarians, be warned. Meat is involved in this. However, it doesn't really LOOK like meat. At least, its not supposed to look like meat.
We got the idea's for this April fool's dinner from The Family Fun website. They have an entire page about different "April fools foods", so we took a few of the ideas and decided to test them and see how well they worked, 'cause you know when you see a photo online, sometimes you can just tell that it's "styled food" and not REAL food? That's sort of how I felt about the photos supplied on the website. So.. here goes!
First up- Mashed potatoes and meat-cakes.
We replaced the cake with meatloaf, pressed into the cupcake papers, and iced it with purple mashed potatoes. The sprinkles are Himalayan pink salt.

Have a great day!
